ARCA, a vibrant restaurant and bar concept by two Michelin-starred Portuguese chef Henrique Sá Pessoa, brings modern Portuguese sharing plates, Asian influences and bold cocktails to the heart of Amsterdam.
We’re looking for a passionate, energetic and experienced Head Host/Hostess to become the face of ARCA, leading the guest journey from the very first impression and setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.
What you’ll be doing
As Head Host / Hostess, you will be the heartbeat of our front-of-house operation — combining warmth, organisation, and leadership to create seamless and memorable guest experiences.
You will:
• Lead and inspire the host team, ensuring a warm, confident, and polished welcome for every guest
• Manage reservations and seating using systems such as OpenTable or SevenRooms
• Optimise table flow and guest experience in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
• Anticipate guest needs and handle special requests with care and attention to detail
• Collaborate closely with restaurant and bar teams to ensure smooth service delivery
• Act as a key ambassador of the ARCA brand, reflecting its creativity, energy, and hospitality
What we’re looking for
• Experience as a Head Host / Hostess or Senior Host in a high-end or lifestyle restaurant
• A natural leader with the ability to motivate and guide a team
• A strong sense of guest experience, with the ability to exceed expectations
• Confidence managing reservations and high-volume services
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and late finishes
• A passion for food, cocktails, and vibrant hospitality experiences
