At PPHE Hotel Group, we create valuable memories for our guests and meaningful value for our people and communities. We’re looking for a Social Events Sales Manager to join our GME Central Team, acting as the single point of contact for all social and festive events across our hotels and venues.
As the Social Events Sales Manager, you are the one stop shop for clients planning social and festive events — from first enquiry through to the big day. You own the entire client journey, combining commercial focus with warm, confident hosting. On event days, you’ll personally welcome clients as their host, before handing over to operations.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
• Strong experience in social events, M&E sales or restaurant commercial background
• Existing network within the local restaurant and hospitality market, with established relationships across key venues and industry partners
• Proven ability to convert enquiries into profitable business and manage events end to end
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with a confident and engaging approach
• Commercial mindset with the ability to balance creativity, yield and operational feasibility
• Highly organized, detail focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• A collaborative attitude, working naturally across departments and brands
• Flexibility and resilience, responding positively to changing priorities and guest needs
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Act as the central point of contact for all social and festive events
• Manage enquiries end to end: proposals, site visits, contracts and deposits
• Deliver a one stop shop experience, coordinating all event details internally
• Sell our F&B outlets and manage buy out requests and add on experiences to maximize revenue
• Produce clear and accurate BEOs and lead handovers to operations
• Welcome clients on the day of their event, ensuring a smooth transition to the operational teams
• Build lasting client relationships and secure repeat business
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Enquiry Handling
• Lead and convert social events enquiries through all channels, including email, phone and online platforms such as Cvent, Meeting Package and other enquiry portals.
• Respond to all enquiries promptly, professionally and within agreed service standards.
• Proactively chase enquiries to secure conversion and maximise revenue opportunities.
• Create personalised, brand aligned proposals using approved tools, clearly showcasing venues, menus and added value opportunities.
Event Sales Cycle Ownership
• Own the full sales cycle, one stop one shop principle including enquiry qualification, proposal creation, site inspections, contracting, deposit collection, invoicing and post event follow up.
• Liaise with internal hotel teams and preferred third party suppliers (e.g. AV) to support event planning and conversion.
• Confidently sell additional products at contract and planning stages, such as upgraded room categories, enhanced F&B offerings, manage buy-outs destinations restaurants and relevant loyalty programmes (e.g. Radisson Rewards).
Event Planning & Delivery
• Maintain full ownership of allocated events, producing detailed, accurate and timely Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
• Lead effective handovers with Operations teams to ensure seamless event delivery.
• Attend BEO, sales and operational meetings as required.
• Support on site during key moments of events to ensure service delivery meets brand and guest expectations.
Client Relationship Management
• Build strong relationships with clients, agents and partners before, during and after events (e.g welcome the client on day of event)
• Proactively anticipate client needs and personalise the event experience.
• Handle client feedback professionally and effectively, resolving issues and identifying opportunities to secure repeat business.
• Conduct post event follow up to gather feedback, reinforce relationships and drive future business.
Financial & Administrative Compliance
• Ensure all commercial and accounting procedures are followed, including: contracts and electronic signatures, credit application forms, deposits and prepayments and final invoice reconciliation.
• Take responsibility for deposit collection in line with event agreements and payment compliance to support business continuity.
Communication & Collaboration
• Communicate effectively with internal and external guests, clients, agents and hotel colleagues.
• Work closely with operations and commercial team to ensure consistency, efficiency and alignment with brand standards.
• Actively contribute to team objectives, identifying opportunities to improve ways of working and remaining solution focused to operational needs.
• Amend working times to timings of events to enable to check and welcome the clients.
Professional Standards & Compliance
• Demonstrate flexibility in response to changing client requirements and business priorities, with an understanding of demand patterns, revenue management and the events calendar.
• Maintain excellent personal presentation in line with company grooming standards.
• Follow all guidance, standard operating procedures and instructions issued by the leadership team, including emergency, evacuation, health and safety policies.
• Handle personal and commercial information confidentially, demonstrating ethical, social and professional responsibility.
• Ensure all activities comply with national laws and regulations, management decisions and PPHE Hotel Group operating policies.
