The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's food and beverage outlets, including the restaurant, bar, room service, and event catering. The ideal candidate will assist in managing staff, ensuring quality service, and upholding operational standards to maximize guest satisfaction and profitability. This role is suited to an experienced F&B professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality.
- Manage daily opening/closing procedures and coordinate service setup
- Control inventory, minimize wastage, and support cost-efficiency
- Create staff schedules balancing labor costs with service needs
- Handle last-minute staffing challenges and maintain shift coverage
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Develop, implement, and update SOPs to improve operational flow
- Monitor consistency in food, beverage, and service quality across shifts
- Lead onboarding and training programs for new staff
- Engage with guests, resolve complaints, and enhance satisfaction
- Degree in Hospitality or related field (preferred)
- 2–3 years’ experience in F&B management, ideally in a hotel setting
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Proven ability to manage time, scheduling, and operational priorities
- Experience creating and enforcing SOPs and service standards
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in POS systems, F&B software, and Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus
