- Completes tasks relevant but not limited to the kitchen function in an efficient way, preparing and cooking food orders in accordance with the hotel menu, delivered on time, liaising with relevant teams to ensure guest satisfaction;
- Follows guidance and instructions given by leadership team, supported by the company’s standard operating procedures related but not limited to emergency and evacuation procedures, report any incidents, accidents or maintenance faults that may jeopardise guest or colleague’s satisfaction, health & wellbeing. Attends and completes all mandatory Health & Safety training. Handles personal information confidentially and shows ethical and social responsibilities;
- Communicates effectively with both internal and external guests (including hotel colleagues) via written correspondence, phone and face to face;
- Proactively assists in preparing, serving and storing all produce to ensure best quality, in cost effective and efficient manner, considering food costs within specified budgets, minimising wastage;
- Engages with guests in relation to their stay; i.e. taking the time to talk and engage with guests, allowing them to give their feedback, consistently exhibiting appropriate service behaviour (such as greeting guests, eye contact, using guest name, personal presentation & grooming standards);
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability when personalising external and internal guest’s needs and the changing demand and priorities of the business.
- Creates a welcoming atmosphere and personalised service for each individual external and internal guest having an eye for detail and responding appropriately to guest and leadership feedback;
- Actively contributes to your immediate as well as wider hotel team, uses all forms of communication appropriate for each situation and displays positive and open body language. Identifying opportunities and improvements to ways of working whilst being solution focused to operational needs of the hotel;
- Ensure that all activities are in compliance with national laws and regulations, management decisions and PPHE Hotel Groups operating policies, processes and procedures.
