Senior Network Specialist – London
Reporting to the Technology Architect, we have a rare opportunity for you to join us here at PPHE. You’d work closely with the network and support teams and our Meeting & Events Departments in the hotels and be responsible for designing, managing, and providing support for the Group’s Internet/Wi-Fi network infrastructure and IP Telephony systems.
The role is based on flexible working hours, total of 40 hours per week. The individual must respond anytime in case of major incidents and/or loss of service affecting business continuity.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
- Create and maintain up-to-date documentation of network infrastructure.
- Manage, support, monitor, and develop the Wi-Fi network and IP telephony platforms across all properties.
- Provide support for Wi-Fi network and IP telephony incidents and hands-on support in UK/NL properties. Provide Wi-Fi network and connectivity support for large M&E events.
- Handle escalations or incidents on Wi-Fi and manage related problems to resolution.
- Assess/administer Wi-Fi network and IP Telephony equipment with the network team.
- Monitor and ensure the effectiveness of the network environment to ensure optimal performance.
- Asset management for Wi-Fi, IP telephony, and network hardware and software across the Group.
- Plan and assist the network team with network changes and upgrades.
- Design, plan, and assist with network cabling or patching works.
- Report on Wi-Fi infrastructure performance.
- Collaborate with the Engineering department to resolve remote incidents or changes.
Ad-hoc:
- Plan and coordinate the installation of in-house and remote Wi-Fi, network hardware and software across the Group’s network.
- Research and make recommendations on new products, services, protocols, and standards
- Anticipate a wide range of complications and resolve complex issues, while following policy & procedures.
- Ensure systems and processes comply with IT controls and compliance plans.
- Lead incident, problem, and change management processes and/or serve as an Incident Commander for key issues.
- Assist with and implement short- and long-term plans
- Monitor and test Wi-Fi and network performance, provide performance statistics & reports.
- Support on any new system implementations
