In your role as Director of Sales, you’ll discuss and agree some key objectives with your line manager. These objectives are designed to support your department’s goals and priorities. You’ll also take responsibility for your own development, embracing training opportunities that we offer, while learning from any challenges and mistakes along the way.  

How you do it:

  • You’re taking the lead in seeking new business regarding our hotel, creating, leading and materialize commercial strategies to maximise revenues and upsell. 
  • You’ll contribute to creating a stellar reputation for our hotel, promoting it, building loyalty and interaction, all with the goal of increasing our revenue. 
  • You’ll identify commercial initiatives and opportunities which will drive exposure, bookings and covers for the hotel and its outlets. Liaise with the hotel Team, to support commercials goals of the hotel.  
  • You’ll develop and implement sales strategy to effectively manage all the sales channels, utilize on-property resources and leverages all above the property sales engines to deliver and achieve results. 
  • You’ll develop visibility and enhancing the reputation of the hotel and brand by maintaining direct relations with customers and local communities. 
  • You’ll promote the company's brand and introducing new products to the market. 
  • Analysing budgets, preparing annual budget plans, scheduling expenditures, and ensuring that the sales team meets their quotas and goals. 
  • Gathering, investigating, and summarizing market data and trends to draft reports. 
  • Recruiting, training, scheduling, coaching, and managing sales teams to meet sales human resource objectives. 
  • You’ll play as customer expert, you’ll ensure that sales information provided to the other operational departments are punctual, accurate and reach on time, in order to meet and exceed guests expectations. 
  • You’ll maintain relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new sales opportunities. 
  • You’ll supervise, coordinate, and deliver the B2C, B2B and M&E campaigns and relevant sales activities. 
  • You’ll manage the client journey, from enquiry through to the big day. 
You’ll take your cues from the guidance and instructions given by your leadership team. You’ll also be backed up by PPHE’s standard operating procedures.  
 
What you bring:
  • You’ll have a solid understanding of competitors’ products and venues, using this as a springboard to establish and adjust our selling strategy alongside with the Regional Sales Team & the General Manager.  
  • You’re a leader, supervising and supporting the Sales team and their development goals. 
  • You’re able to switch between being proactive and reactive, with your eye on the goal of driving incremental business into the hotel through multiple revenue streams, segments & industries.  
  • You’re confident in creating strong links with all our hotel’s departments to help you make sure all commercial objectives are achieved, as well as targets, KPIs and budgets
