Senior Groups, Meeting & Events Manager

As Senior Group, Meetings & Events Manager, you will lead a dynamic team responsible for converting group and event enquiries into successful bookings. You’ll ensure seamless planning and handover of confirmed events to our hotels, maintaining the highest service standards. Your strategic insight and market knowledge will be key in achieving revenue targets and driving business growth across our properties. 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Lead, train, and motivate the GM&E team to reach departmental and personal goals. 
  • Act as the main liaison between Sales, Planning, and hotel General Managers. 
  • Manage and convert enquiries via online portals, email, and phone, ensuring timely responses and effective diary yield. 
  • Collaborate with the Director of GM&E on pricing strategies, promotions, and need dates. 
  • Monitor team performance and client satisfaction, implementing improvements where needed. 
  • Drive creative sales strategies and upsell opportunities to maximize revenue. 
  • Ensure smooth communication between clients, internal departments, and hotel teams. 
  • Oversee online platforms like Cvent and Venue Directory, ensuring proactive business conversion. 
  • Create tailored proposals and maintain high standards of presentation and client engagement. 
  • Support operational excellence and contribute to regional projects and initiatives. 
  • Work with the Director of Revenue NL to ensure accurate forecasting for GM&E for the region.

  • A strategic thinker with strong leadership and communication skills. 
  • Proven experience in meetings, events, or hospitality sales. 
  • Commercially savvy with a deep understanding of market trends and competitor landscapes. 
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional client experiences and driving team success.
