I heard about the role from a friend who was working here. The position really stood out to me as somewhere I can use my talents and my skills to the best of my ability, and learn a lot more about the industry as my career grows and develops.
Has the company lived up to your expectations?
I quickly realised that the people here are amazing and will do everything in their power to help me. Having an opportunity to learn and grow are extremely important to me in a career. It’s why I like working for PPHE Hotel Group. Since I started, I’ve been promoted and given a real chance to demonstrate my talents.
What does your role involve?
I look after groups of visitors that stay in Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London – I’m the main point of contact for the organiser. I’m also responsible for negotiating space and rates within the clients’ specific requirements and deadlines.
What’s the best thing about your job?
People and the constant challenges and the autonomy. I work with an awesome team who back each other. I love that I have a great degree of control and freedom within my job. Everyone trusts me to produce high-quality work and results. I work hard to maintain that level of trust, which keeps me engaged and excited.
How do you expect your skills and knowledge to grow?
I can’t move forward if I don’t grow, and I find myself outside of my comfort zone on a daily basis. Being challenged with assignments gives me an opportunity to learn something new every day. PPHE Hotel Group has also sharpened my people skills.
What’s been your proudest moment so far?
I built up an excellent relationship with a key client over the past year which was vital to the renewal of our contract. The client thanked me from the bottom of their heart, as they felt they had the best possible people working for them on their behalf.
