Why did you decide to join art’otel amsterdam?

While I was looking for an internship, a teacher recommended PPHE Hotel Group because the company fitted with what I was looking for. After my internship, art’otel amsterdam asked me to join the team.

What does your role involve?

As a guest relations artist, I make sure all our (VIP) guests feel valued and experience an exceptional stay with us. From little things like making sure welcome gifts are waiting in their room upon arrival, to assisting guests with their general inquiries, and even replying online to guest reviews.

Has the company lived up to your expectations?

Yes, I still feel at home here. I have grown as a person and as an employee within the company. And I can still be myself while doing my job.

What are your colleagues like?

It is like working within a family. Everyone is different in their own way, but it all comes together as a perfect team.

How do you go out of your way to make guests feel valued?

By making sure they will feel at home: introducing ourselves, placing yourself in their shoes, always smiling and checking if they need anything.

How has art’otel amsterdam helped you to develop?

By showing me what more I can do, and how I can improve. They set clear goals and provide all the training I need to help me get there.

Do you feel supported as an employee?

Yes, I have 1-2-1’s every other week with my manager to see how I can develop and continue to improve.

What’s been your proudest moment so far?

There are two that stand out. The day I was offered a permanent contract, and when I was promoted from front office host to guest relations artist. I felt very valued by the company.
