Key tasks & responsibilities

  • As a Senior Meetings & Events Sales Coordinator, you would be responsible for assisting the Meetings & Events Sales Manager in the day-to-day running of the department, as well as overseeing the department in their absence.
  • Drive revenue through effective sales, negotiation, yield management and conversion to maximise the most profitable opportunities.
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with prospective, new, and existing clients
  • Deliver the highest level of customer service, adhering to PPHE and client service level agreements in terms of proposals and event agreements
  • Resolve any client issues and turn them around with a positive close.
  • Attend and contribute to meetings, training and assist with departmental reporting.

We are looking for

  • The ideal candidate as the Senior Meetings & Events Sales Coordinator will have a minimum of 2 year’s experience gained within a Meetings and Events Department managing bookings and enquiries or a similar role
  • Previous experience within a similar 4 or 5 star hotel would be ideal
  • Previous experience of supervising and leading a team would be advantageous
  • As an individual be hard working, organised, a team player and have excellent communication skills. You will be able to self motivate, as well as motivate others, and always be professional in appearance & presentation
  • It is essential that you are computer literate with good working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience of working with Opera, Sales & Catering function, would be advantageous.
