The hotel’s 187 renovated guestrooms include Executive Rooms with enhanced space, super-king-sized beds, double-aspect city views and VIP amenities. Key tasks & responsibilities

  • Develop & maintain relationships with account contacts and through in depth development gain a complete understanding of the account.
  • Create an account development plan for key accounts in line with the SOP.  To include activities that will support the achievement of the account targets.
  • To be fully conversant regarding account statistics, production figures, hoteligence opportunities, market share, discretionary business, feeder market analysis, business patterns for all accounts managed.
  • Generate new business for Park Plaza Hotels and manage existing accounts within Park Plaza Leed’s agreed sales territory
  • Achieve budgeted goals by executing sales activities within assigned market segments
  • Meets budgeted sales and profit margins for group business, by soliciting, selling, and confirming business as required
  • Follows up on sales leads generated by other departments through Take The Lead, competitor board spotting and client events
  • Coordinate transient and group room commitments to insure proper market mix in consultation with Revenue and GM
  • Ensures customer satisfaction  by overseeing the communication between  various departments  related to booked business
  • Participate in projects as required by GM and Regional Director of Sales UK  
  • Highlight Park Plaza as a brand and educate the bookers about our products, benefits and services including Look to Book and Club Carlson.

 

We are looking for

  • The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working as a Sales Manager (or similar role) within a 4* Hotel
  • Previous experience of working with Opera PMS, Sales & Catering would be advantageous
  • Previous experience of pro-active sales is essential
  • As an individual you will be hard working, organised, a team player and have excellent communication skills. You will be able to self motivate, as well as motivate others, and always be professional in appearance & presentation
  • Commercial awareness; able to display financial acumen with regard to driving sales and achieving targets
  • Due to the nature of this role, there will be frequent travel required
