At PPHE Hotel Group, Regional Office Benelux we are looking to recruit a Sales Manager who is responsible to pro-actively solicit and perform account management in the group segment for our hotels within the portfolio of PPHE Hotel Group. To support the hotels in achieving their business targets, you will focus on growing customer relationships and increasing the market’s knowledge of PPHE Hotel Group, to increase the level of market share for our hotels. Your main focus will be on the Benelux and German speaking market. 

Main tasks and responsibilities:

As Sales Manager, your main tasks and responsibilities include: 
  • To pro-actively source and develop business from the MICE segment, focusing on key markets included but not limited to Benelux and German speaking markets. 
  • Ensure that sales activities are maximized to increase in/out bound spend across markets and travel to the source markets attending key client events/visits.
  • To grow customer relationships and drive customer loyalty.
  • Increase the knowledge of Corporate Meeting planners and MICE agents on the PPHE Hotel Group to increase the level of market share into our hotels. 
  • Support and cooperate with the group reservations team and meeting & events team to ensure that business targets are achieved.
  • Create, implement and execute a strategic sales action plan for the MICE segment. 
  • Maintain and lead key customer relationships, negotiate preferred partnerships and solicit Meetings and events Request for Proposal’s (RFP’s).
  • Developing new opportunities in order to achieve revenue targets, covering all MICE opportunities. 
  • Understanding of qualification, communication and decision making process in the MICE segments. 

We are looking for:

  • Graduated Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven track record of multiple years of experience in Sales 
  • Experience within the group segment of Sales is preferred 
  • Solid understanding of the Dutch and English language both in speaking and writing
  • Basic knowledge of the German language is desired 
  • Detailed understanding of how to use analysis to understand key business indicators 
  • Strong commercial drive 
  • Pro-active person
  • Hands on mentality 
  • Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and gain confidence of internal customers, support teams and management at all levels
