The (Dutch Speaking) Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the prompt posting of purchase invoices, ensuring that all VAT rates, general ledger codes and prices are correct in accordance with the ‘Uniform System of Accounting’. 

 

We are looking for an (Dutch Speaking) Accounts Payable Clerk:
Manages the prompt and accurate posting of the invoices received during the month.
Ensures all invoices are posted into the system in time for the last day of each month.
Ensures the VAT coding is correct, as well as amounts and General Ledger codes.
To ensure invoices are billed to correct entity and posted to the same relevant company within the accounting system.
To hold incorrect invoices communicating any differences or changes to the relevant manager in the hotels and to chase relevant supplier for credit notes.
Matches Purchase Orders against invoices, investigating discrepancies and making sure this is escalated to the purchasing department and the relevant HOD’s.
Ensures copies of all invoices, and relevant backup are archived in organized fashion.
Setting up new suppliers in the system according to company’s policies.
Conducts supplier reconciliation at month end to ensure that all costs of the business have been captured.
Maintain current and create new lines of communication between all employees to assure a smooth running operation.
Follows the correct order of the basic accounts payable step by step process.
