You are responsible as Maintenance Technician for managing all aspects of maintenance activities daily. You coordinate and perform routine, preventive and emergency interior / exterior maintenance and repair to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of hotel operations.

We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician who:

  • Completes tasks relevant but not limited to the overall maintenance of the building, including regular spot checks of equipment, controlling stocks, solving machinery errors, handling requests liaising with relevant teams to ensure guest satisfaction and ensuring the safety of internal and external guests through appropriate by making the right diagnosis and appropriate handlings. 
  • Carrying out repairs on plant equipment, sanitary facilities, lightning, electricity/data facilities or other requested areas. While performing those activities walking or standing is required, and can be carried out on a stepladder or in tough reachable areas, with possible differentiation in temperature or weather conditions.There is a possibility of injury when carrying out maintenance activities or using equipment. 
  • Follows guidance and instructions given by leadership team, supported by the company’s standard operating procedures related but not limited to emergency and evacuation procedures, report any incidents, accidents or maintenance faults that may jeopardise guest or colleague’s satisfaction, health & wellbeing. Attends and completes all mandatory Health & Safety training. Handles personal information confidentially and shows ethical and social responsibilities; Communicates effectively with both internal and external guests (including hotel colleagues) via written correspondence, phone and face to face;
  • Proactively looks to solve issues, provide advice and give recommendations. You also look for ways to improve our way of working.
  • Engages with colleagues in relation to their work; you are friendly, calm and constructive in every situation, displaying a passion for hospitality and great customer service.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability when you listen to the needs of guests and colleagues. You like to stretch yourself through new challenges and different ways of working. You will work stand by shifts as well to ensure that maintenance issues are resolved in weekends and evenings as well (if needed)
  • Creates a brilliant first impression by preventive maintenance.
  • Actively contributes to your immediate as well as wider hotel team, uses all forms of communication appropriate for each situation and displays positive and open body language. Identifying opportunities and improvements to ways of working whilst being solution focussed to operational needs of the hotel. 
  • Ensure that all activities are in compliance with national laws and regulations, management decisions and PPHE Hotel Groups operating policies, processes and procedures.
