At the Regional Office the Netherlands of PPHE Hotel Group we're looking to recruit a Regional HR Manager the Netherlands. As a Regional HR Manager the Netherlands, you are responsible for overseeing/managing the People Development & Human Resources function in the Netherlands in line with the Corporate Human Resources Department’s Strategic Business Plan of PPHE Hotel Group. 

You are also responsible for driving bottom line performance in the Netherlands through the company’s focus of involving and influencing the commitment of team members who play a vital role in delivering business results. This position is responsible for the implementation of People Management and Learning & Development policies and programmes in the Netherlands according to the values and mission statement of PPHE Hotel Group. 

Main tasks and Responsibilities: 

  • Provides active support to the General Managers, Regional team and Human Resources Managers in all key areas of focus within the employee life cycle
  • Oversees recruitment efforts for new and replacement team members at Regional and hotel management level
  • Ensures compensation and benefit plan design and selected carriers/administrators offer most appropriate and cost effective approach to meeting operating objectives while satisfying team member needs
  • Ensures overall plan is in place and functioning to promote effective two-way communication with team members at all levels
  • Monitors and controls the reporting of HR Management data and discuss targets and follow up with the General/Hotel Managers and Human Resources Managers
  • Recommends procedures and policies to provide guidelines and/or direction on specific Human Resources related matters in liaison with the VP People Development & HR
  • Ensure that the region has a Learning & Development Plan which identifies and addresses training and development needs of hotels in the Netherlands in liaison with the Regional Training Manager and the Learning & Development Manager of PPHE Hotel Group
  • Responsible for maintaining control over all expenses and budgets pertaining to Regional Human Resources

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Human Resources or related field or relevant experience required
  • Proven track record of Managing in a Generalist HR Role within the Hospitality (or customer service related Industry)
  • Previous experience as a Regional HR Manager or equivalent Senior HR Manager / HR Business Partner responsible for guiding, supporting and directing HR Managers / Teams and working closely to Senior Management 
  • Experience of hotel operations / business support functions
  • Strong Employee Relations Experience
  • Up to date knowledge of current and prevailing Employment Law, Legislation and best practice guidelines within the HR Field
  • Ability to research, develop and implement HR / Learning & Development Strategy that is aligned to the business
  • Demonstrates strong commercial skills in implementing and controlling HR and Payroll budgets   
  • Leading HR  /L&D Projects / Programmes and new initiatives, using a systematic and strategic approach 
  • Ability to build positive and productive working relationships and relate to a wide range of different people at different levels within the business
