Main role and objectives:

As our Finance Assistant you will act as a key member of the finance department working to ensure the smooth running of day to day finance tasks, whilst also supporting the finance team and wider hotel teams.

Your responsibilities:

  • Completion of daily income audit checks, controls & reporting including
    • Review of all rate code adjustments, room transfers, early/late checkouts, No Show and other rooms revenue adjustments
    • Recnciliation and issue of complimentary house accounts & management postings.
  • Preparation of daily revenue reports
  • Performing ad-hoc spot checks and analysis on revenue information 
  • Performs a review of deposits on upcoming meetings and groups to ensure sufficient funds are received in advance of the events taking place
  • Reviews the in house guest account on a regular basis – including paymasters relating to potential ledger invoices. 
  • Completion of the monthly bank journal – ensuring correct coding and balancing
  • Any additional responsibilities at the request of the financial controller

What we are looking for:

-Previous experience working within a Hotel would be advantageous 

-Excellent written and verbal English

- IT literate with good knowledge of Excel and Adaco (or other hospitality procurement systems)
