Main role and objectives:

The Organisational & Talent Development Manager is responsible for contributing to the overall Learning & Development Strategy of PPHE Hotel Group and manages the Learning & Development function to achieve the overall business goals. The role is measured by overall employee engagement, and Learning & Development in particular, and delivery on key objectives and projects.

As Organisational & Talent Development Manager you will report directly to the VP People Development & HR, and will closely work together with the Corporate HR team, the Regional Human Resources Manager, (Regional) General Managers of the hotels, Regional Training Managers and functional Heads of Departments.

You will work in an international environment, where regular travel is required. The best candidate may choose the location of this role: Amsterdam or London!

Key responsibilities:

·         As an Organisational & Talent Development Manager you are responsible for overseeing/managing the Learning & Development function according to the Corporate HR Strategic Plan of PPHE Hotel Group in liaison with the VP People Development & HR, 4 Regional HR Managers and 4 Regional Training Managers

·         Supporting the planning (needs analysis) and implementation process across the group to ensure successful realisation of Corporate L&D strategy through agreeing on Regional L&D Plans

·         Design and deliver Organisational Development strategies, processes and interventions that support PPHE’s ambition to be a high performing organisation; to include initiatives which foster a high performance culture, where valuing learning, continuous improvement and diversity are the norm

·         In addition, the role designs, directs and implements learning programmes as part of the you:niversity, the learning & development offering of PPHE Hotel Group,statutory and development within the Corporate and Hotel HR Strategic Plans and service concepts.

·         Identify opportunities for performance improvement through, for example, undertaking internal diagnosis, process/system reviews in order to understand barriers and possible solutions; conducting external research into good practice and new ideas

·         Partner with line and corporate leadership to identify and develop talent management strategies, identify gaps, and plan processes and programs to support business initiatives. Maintain database of talent information, coordinate with management team, participate in succession planning and key talent review meetings, and oversee strategies to accelerate development of key talent and successor candidates

·         Assists with the mentoring/coaching of individuals in matters pertaining to career development

·         Manage, mentor & develop the Regional Training Managers in all regions

·         Monitors that the regional learning and development plans are carefully reviewed and evaluated periodically to ensure that the objectives are met and that a return on the investment can be identified.

·         Monitor the regional recruitment and development of L&D delivery team members (Leaders of L&D, Inspirators and you:niversity coaches); ensure that L&D delivery team members are used to their full potential in order to support L&D initiatives

·         To manage Learning & Development budget in line with the agreed targets and budgets by monitoring actual versus budgeted spend, taking corrective action where necessary whilst ensuring quality and consistency standards are maintained

What we are looking for:

·         Ability to conduct global Training Needs Analysis and devise Learning & Development plans

·         Extensive experience with developing highly effective, results-driven training and strategies with multiple styles; designing training and development programs to support organizational development

·         Curriculum design expertise as well as performance consultancy expertise to determine whether courses are actually required

·         Experienced facilitator to all levels of the business - Accredited as an Insights Discovery Practitioner is desirable

·         Knowledge of training and organizational development theories & models, and experts in how people learn

·         Technical expertise with e-learning / interactive learning standards

·         Project management skills and ability to facilitate organizing and managing multiple priorities and/or projects

·         The ability to support and develop high potential talent development programmes in order to support effective succession planning across the organisation

·         Skills in aligning strategic and operational needs with training programs

·         Strong business acumen and understanding of the impact of developing people on overall corporate performance

·         Collaboration skills including the ability to integrate and act upon the diverse perspectives of managers, Regional HR and Training Managers, Corporate HR People Development & HR and external vendors
