Unique restaurant concept in one of Amsterdam’s most prominent locations

Sitting proudly on the corner of Prins Hendrikkade and Martelaarsgracht, our restaurant concept fuses food, people, art & design to present a uniquely creative environment for art lovers and foodies alike. The menu draws inspiration from Mediterranean tasting plates, all lovingly blended with the freshest ingredients and delivered with an Italian twist. The setting is open, rustic and honest, while the tables are simple and functional. Our one of a kind restaurant concept is all about food, art & fun.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper for our restaurant.

Key tasks & responsibilities:
  • Support the kitchen staff in preparing lunch/dinner for the staff members
  • Maintain and supply the staff restaurant of clean dishes, glassware, silverware etc. for all team members
  • Making sure the staff restaurant is provided with sufficient lunch/dinner for staff members
  • Maintain a clean kitchen environment by assisting kitchen staff in following standard cleaning practices
  • Follow up on assignments from kitchen team and make sure tasks are completed in a quality manner
  • Assist other departments within the company if necessary
  • Actively engage in your own personal development to benefit the business and improving your personal skills

Primary duties:
  • Provide the staff restaurant with lunch/dinner during the break times
  • Support the kitchen staff in preparing lunch/dinner for the staff members
  • Keep glassware etc. organized at all times and store clean dishes in the proper location
  • Assist kitchen staff with set-up and break down of the staff restaurant
  • Monitors trash levels in all cans and remove when needed
  • Monitor accurate supply and put together all relevant glassware, silverware and other needs for all relevant departments
  • Follow all company procedures to deliver outstanding service to our guests
  • Oversee that guest service is according to the art’otel context by creating an environment where everyone in the team is focused on ‘connecting’ with our guests

Guest service:
Consistently offer professional, attentive and friendly service to our guests and colleagues alike.
Anticipate on guests’ needs wherever possible, and to take action to enhance guest satisfaction

Health and Safety:
Have extensive knowledge of the company’s security and health & safety procedures
Follow proper safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices 
Exercise care, attention and caution in dealing with guests, colleagues and company property.
Have full knowledge of your department’s risk assessments
