Main role and objectives:

As a Housekeeping team leader you'll lead a team of room attendants and you will check rooms on a daily base. Together with your team you will create a warm welcome to your guests providing a courteous, efficient and smooth service.

Job role responsibilities below:

  • Managing and inspiring housekeeping team members to ensure the highest in standards of cleanliness throughout the hotel and public areas
  • Actively engaging in your own personal development to benefit the business and improving your personal skills
  • Keeps self updated on available rooms, including maintenance and early/late check-ins and check-outs; communicates information to room attendants.
  • Supervises the daily activities of the housekeeping staff
  • Checks ‘in house’ or ‘ stay over’ rooms
  • Training and developing team members, including on the job coaching, organising trainings, creating training programmes and giving feedback
  • Planning, developing and implementing departmental goals
  • Be aware of, and comply with, all relevant risks, fire- health and safety procedures, Arbo and HACCP regulations and ensure that the team follows the procedures
  • Accurate administration to ensure quality

  • Genuine passion for the housekeeping department
  • Team player
  • Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English
  • A positive attitude and passion for providing exceptional service
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders within and outside of the hotel
  • Energy, enthusiasm, creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • The ability to inspire team to excel in creating the ultimate guest experience
  • Experience of the hotel industry
  • And, preferably, a background in housekeeping
