Main role and objectives:

To assist in the delivery of maintaining high standards of the guest public areas and to provide efficient, prompt, courteous and proactive service to our guests. This will support the hotels aim to maximise guest satisfaction and to maintain the high quality expected by our guests.  

Key tasks & responsibilities:

  • Supervise the work of all Public Area Attendants, ensure that front and back of house are well maintained at all times
  • Schedule periodic cleaning of  Public Area including offices, F&B outlets, Spa and back of house areas
  • Maintain a regular deep cleaning program: Carpet care, Furniture care
  • To check all areas and ensure that they are in good  condition
  • Spot check Public Area Attendants
  • Inform managing team of any unusual occurrences in the Public Area
  • Conducts team member skills training and follows up the implantation of the training programs
  • Monitor and control cleaning equipment and to ensure a weekly stock take is completed
  • Conduct daily team member briefings before the start of each shift
  • Prepare daily team member work assignments and distribute tasks
  • Report maintenance work in the Public Area and ensure the rectification is done on time
  • Ensure that the furnishing and the facilities are well maintained and kept in good working order and report all relevant faults.
  • Maintain hotel public areas, both interior and exterior front and back-of-house to established Hotel standards
  • Maintain current and create new lines of communication between all employees to assure a smooth running operation
  • Support training to new team members to the require Hotel Standards
  • Liaise with all team members in a professional manner
  • Complete additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Is fully aware of Par Plaza Hotel service concepts

What are we looking for:

  • Energy, enthusiasm, passion for Housekeeping and providing excellent customer service
  • The confidence to become ‘the face’ of the housekeeping department
  • Experience in the hotel industry
  • A background in housekeeping at a supervisory level would be desirable
