Do you have a true passion for numbers? At our Regional Office in Amsterdam we are looking for a Hotel Business Controller. The Hotel Business Controller is a trusted Business Partner that drives value and creates insights. You are responsible for ensuring there is a robust financial control environment and compliance with corporate policies & procedures. The role is responsible for hotel financial activities including Financial, Management & Statutory Reporting, Budgeting & Forecasting and Working Capital Management, whether delivered directly at hotel level or via the local shared service centre.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Reporting and Analysis: Provision of valuable insight that drives performance and continuous improvement 
  • Performance Improvement: delivering excellent services through pro-active support & advice on strategic & operational decision making
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Co-ordination and preparation of hotel budgets and forecasts
  • Financial Control and Working Capital Management: Completion of control activities and monitoring & review of performance against agreed key financial controls & KPIs
  • General Management: Assist in the preparation of ad hoc financial reports, Company investment projects, and liaise with third party business contacts
  • Leadership & People Development: Trusted Business Partners that drives value and create insights
  • Complies fully with the set financial reporting deadlines and guidelines, as outlined in finance policies and by the Regional Financial Controller, follows all applicable laws relating to general accounting practices and tax regulations

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor degree educated ( Business administration, Controlling)
  • Previous experience of working within Accounts / Finance department in a 4* Hotel is preferred
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting  processes
  • Ability to influence and implement decisions
  • Excellent written and verbal Dutch and English
  • Focus on achieving goals
  • Highly organised and efficient individual
  • Team player
  • Eye for to detail
  • Analytical and pro-active
  • Good knowledge of Excel, Opera, Vision, INFOR SUN and SAP is advantageous
