Carstens Amsterdam, a brand new concept created by Maik Kuijpers is coming to Amsterdam next year. Carstens, a Dutch brasserie, that will open its doors in the Hasselaerssteeg, just a stone’s throw from Central Station.

Maik Kuijpers, the former chef at restaurant De Librije*** has created a brasserie that is approachable and relaxed, focusing on honest food and local produce without any frills available for everyone to enjoy, day in day out. Ingredients from Dutch soil served with a creative twist. For this creative, no-nonsense concept we are looking for new talent! Are you the - down to earth - and – passionate – team member we are looking for? Become a part of our awesome team!

What creative twist do we need from you? Someone who:

  • Leads and coordinates the stewarding team
  • Check the quality of work delivered by the stewarding team, in order to make sure all cleaning taks are executed to reach the cleaning standards..
  • Takes care of clean dishes, glassware, silver, pots etc
  • Makes sure the kitchen is always cleaned thoroughly by following the standard cleaning procedures
  • Is following up on assignments from our kitchen team and make sure tasks are completed in a with high quality standards

The main ingredients required to produce the best service:

  • Experience in restaurants with a background as steward
  • Energy, enthusiasm and down to earth
  • Must be flexible to shift changes, weekends and bank holidays
