Main role and objectives:

As Executive Sous  Chef under the general guidance of the Executive Head Chef you will provide the highest food quality consistent with cost control and profitability margins of the hotel’s kitchen to maximise guest satisfaction and food profitability by managing the food production in the kitchen, to train and develop the kitchen brigade to achieve maximum capacities and potential of all individuals.

Your responsibilities:

  • To take full responsibility for the operation in conjustion with the Executive Head Chef of the Banqueting, Room service, Executive Lounge and Park Restaurant kitchens.
  • To actively manage the Kitchen brigade and ensure all team members are meeting the brand standards
  • To prepare and develop new Menus as required by the Executive Head Chef
  • Assist in analyzing the departmental expenditures, wages, GP% against business performance to identify areas in which reductions can be made to ensure cost effectiveness and accurate forecast are submitted to meet budget
  • Develop the kitchen brigade in line with their developmental needs.
  • Drive the business forward in a creative and inspiring way.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience within a high volume hotel kitchen at Sous chef level.
  • Someone who has a hands on approach and wants to get creative in the kitchen.
  • An individual truly passionate about food with a proven track record of creating an inspirational dining experience
  • Someone who is great at creating and maintaining positive and productive working relationships across the business, communicating effectively in a range of situations
  • A Chef who is passionate about engaging, inspiring and taking ownership for the development of their team
  • Someone who enjoys working in a fast paced environment
