Main role and objectives:

As an Executive Housekeeper at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel, you will ensure with the support of the Hotel Manager that all long term goals for the Housekeeping department are met. You will manage and direct, along with the Senior Head Housekeeper and the Housekeeping Operations Manager all activities relating to housekeeping and laundry to maximize revenue, profitability and quality goals of the Housekeeping department and Hotel. This will be done by developing and executing strategies, controlling costs and by providing quality service and products to our guests.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the delivery of quality and productivity focused strategies to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the Housekeeping Department through defining Process Flows, Measures, Analysis and offer guidance & solutions for controls and Improvements.
  • Drive and deliver operational action plans, monitor and review as needed to enhance the housekeeping service provided to both our external and internal guests.
  • Analyse the regional operations audit to implement improvements on operational efficiency
  • Ensure a comprehensive understanding and full compliance with the Park Plaza Brand Standard Audit criteria for Housekeeping.
  • Monitor with the Laundry Manager the laundry and linen room operations to ensure that efficiency measures are in place to keep the department within agreed budgets.
  • Oversee the Recruitment process for the departments, driving the efficient replacement of departing team members, and work to establish a ‘talent bank’ to ensure a rolling recruitment strategy to drive down the ‘time to recruit’ statistics for the department.
  • Ensure that all training needs are identified, processed promptly and are undertaken at an appropriate time.
  • Oversee the Housekeeping succession plan and be a key driver in supporting the development of team members.
