Main role and Objectives:

To assist the Security Manager in ensuring the safety and security of all hotel guests, team members and visitors, their belongings and all hotel assets at all times.

Working alongside the Security Manager, provide effective leadership and development to the security team and ensure that resources are appropriately and efficently allocated to key areas of work. Ensure that physical security measures are kept under constant review to ensure that they are adquate to meet current threat levels within the hotel and provide operational policy and strategy.,

Supporting the Group Risk and Safety Manager by coordinating with the relevant Heads of Department to ensure that the hotel has met health and safety compliance.

Your responsibilities:

- To support the Security Manager in managing the security operations and support the set strategy and direction for the department to ensure that the security provision is delivered and meets the departmental objectives; this will include the supportin gwith the completion of 90 day plans and projects that have been asssigned to the Security Manager by the General Manager.

- The Assistant Security Manager will maintain responsibility for recruitment and development of the Security team as evidenced by all relevant HR KPI's including the Balance Score Card and Climate Analysis results.

- Suppor tthe delivery of operational action plans, monitor and review as needed to enhance the secuirty provision, ensuring tha the security departmens Vision and Mission are achieved through proactive management of team and inidvidual KPI's suring monthly 1-2-1's and appraisals.

- Plan, assist and participate in safety/security audits and sumbit follow up reports to the Security Manager. Support the Security Manager where appropriate and provide advice and guidance to the hotel management on matters both strategic and operational.
