Main Role and Objectives:

As our Assistant Financial Controller it is important that you are ambitious, able to work within a team and build effective relationships with our outsourced accounting provider to ensure the numbers add up.

Your Responsibilities:

  • The preparation and completion of month end process ensuring accuracy, investigating variances and summarising data
  • The preparation of Balance sheet reconciliation, reviewing Accounts Payable; Accounts Receivable; Cashiering; Income Audit; Internal Audit; Month End Closing, and; Payroll
  • The completion of self-audit and support to external & internal audit to ensure all departments are complying with PPHE Hotel Group policy and procedures
  • Upholding a high level of regular, frequent, accurate and timely communication to all related departments regarding the Accounts function within the hotel

    What we are looking for: 

  • Experience in monthly management of balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow management & VAT returns
  • Variance analysis and management reporting
  • Organisation / Planning skills and ability to prioritise appropriately
  • Rigorous commitment to accuracy and detail
  • Leadership, management (upwards and downwards), coaching and training
  • Analytical approach and creativity in problem resolution
  • Commercial acumen and industry knowledge and ability to drive change where necessary
  • Technical accounting knowledge and strong IT systems knowledge including financial systems
  • Ability to build positive working relationship with our teams and external partners to promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
  • A proven track record in a similar role within a quality environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
