Main role and objectives:

To assist the Head Housekeeper in executing the most effective strategies resulting in the smooth operation of the Housekeeping Department. 
To maintain the highest levels of cleanliness in the Hotel, and to provide an efficient, prompt, courteous, and proactive service to customers; hence meeting and exceeding guest expectations.  To deputise for the Head Housekeeper in their absence.  To confer closely with the Head Housekeeper, and take every opportunity to become familiar with all aspects of the duties and responsibilities of the position.


Your responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all designated areas within the Hotel are cleaned and maintained to the standards as laid down by and in accordance with Company policies and the Head Housekeeper.
  • To be fully conversant with all procedures set out by the Head Housekeeper.
  • To spot-check all rooms and public areas in the hotel following a schedule set out by the Head Housekeeper and take action where necessary.
  •  Prepares schedule as requested, and in accordance with forecasted occupancy.
  •  Keep updated on available rooms, including maintenance and early/late check-ins and ensure this information is communicated to the Housekeeping team.
  •  Supervises the daily activities of the Housekeeping staff and ensure that duties are performed in accordance with departmental procedures and policies.
  •  Ensures that all Housekeeping staff receives the necessary information in order to complete their duties efficiently and promptly.
  •  Inform the Head Housekeeper regarding accurate room status, when necessary.
  •  Ensure that Room Attendants maintain furnishings, facilities and equipment in the cleanest possible condition.
  •  Bring all needs for repair to the attention of the Head Housekeeper and the Maintenance Engineer.
  • Generate requisition orders for Housekeeping equipment and supplies and obtain approval from the Head Housekeeper.

  • Someone who enjoys working in a fast paced team environment
  • Previous experience in Housekeeping
