Main role and objectives:

Under the general guidance of the Food and Beverage Manager, overseeing all Food & Beverage operations to agreed standards ensuring total guest satisfaction. Have a thorough and working knowledge of all Food & Beverage  departments, to monitor, review and improve departmental standards on a continual basis and to act as a liaison between F&B Departments and all other departmetns in the hotel. To assist in the co-ordination of F&B forecasts and ensure Hotel operating costs are in line with business forecasts.

Your responsibilities:

  • To take full responsibility of department in the absence of the Food and Beverage Management team and run daily shifts
  • To be fully knowledgeable of all Menus, drinks, wines and service procedures in the Food and Beverage outlets and ensure the staff are trained to the standards
  • Actively pushes high profit food and beverage items, and informs staff of such to increase sales
  • To assist in controlling all operating costs
  • Ensures the smooth running of the Food and Beverage operation on a day-to-day basis, delegating where appropriate and coordinating the Departments
  • To positively promote sales awareness within the department and maximise sales opportunities. Be aware of local events, competition and seasonal fluctuations to help in planning sales activities
  • To assist in training and coaching staff
