Main role and objectives:

To increase customer satisfaction by providing efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous Concierge service connected with arriving, departure and in-house guests, in line with the hotel’s guidelines, and Park Plaza Hotels corporate guidelines and service concepts.

Managing subordinate employees, work experience students when covering concierge shifts, leadership – lead by example, assist HOD in building an effective team, direction, coordination and evaluation of department. Ensuring that appropriate professional standards of behavior, work standards, productivity, practices and customer care are enforced.

Other responsibilities include assisting HOD in interviewing and selection, training and development of employees, departmental induction, weekly / monthly departmental meetings, planning, assigning and directing work. Reviewing with HOD subordinate employees’ work performance and conduct. Assisting HOD in addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Your responsibilities:

  • To act as the duty departmental supervisor ensuring that appropriate professional standards of behaviour, working standards, productivity, practices and customer care are enforced
  • Checks the daily arrival list
  • Ensure all guest arrivals are greeted.  Whether arriving on foot, by private car or taxi.
  • Assists guests with luggage to the front desk
  • Escorts guests to room, placing luggage in room
  • Inspects guest room for order and adequate supplies and informs guests of room amenities
  • Ensures the safe delivery of faxes, messages, packages and flowers for guests, and undertakes any other requests to ensure their stay meets/exceeds expecations
  • Delivery of travel and tourist information to guests
  • To ensure local area and geopgrahic information is up to date 
  • Arranges paging of guests in lobby or other areas as needed
  • Maintains the appearance of the hotel lobby and entrance
  • Refills and replaces promotional material as needed
  • Performs light cleaning in the lobby and entrance by picking up litter, emptying ashtrays and properly arranging furniture
  • Observes and reports maintainence in corridors and guest rooms if necessary
  • Keeps luggage storage room clean and tidy
  • Ensures the efficient delivery and collection of group luggage
  • Facilitates prompt check-out by assisting guests with luggage
  • Assists guests with taxi’s,car or onward travel when the account has been settled
  • Assists guests to bring luggage from room to hotel entrance
  • Stores and receives luggage when requested; issues completed claim checks to guests when storing luggag
