Do you love realising growth potential? As Talent Development Manager, you'll support achieving the Group’s vision, mission and operating goals through realising growth potential with a variety of high quality, tailored and inspiring Talent and Learning & Development programmes and initiatives throughout PPHE Hotel Group.

 

Main role and objectives:

The Talent Development Manager manages the Learning & Development function to achieve the overall business goals and is responsible for contributing to the overall Learning & Development Strategy of PPHE Hotel Group.

You'll report directly to the Executive Vice President People & Culture | Head of HR and in close partnership with your Corporate HR team, Regional Human Resources Managers, General Managers of the hotels, Regional Training Managers and functional Heads of Departments in each market we serve. The role is appraised by overall employee engagement with Talent Development and Learning & Development in particular, and delivery on key objectives, programmes and projects.

We work in and offer you a truly international environment - please note regular travel is required to all of our markets in The UK, The Netherlands, Germany/Hungary and Croatia.

This role can be based in Amsterdam or London - with regular travel to each market.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver Talent Development strategies, processes and interventions that support PPHE’s ambition to be a high performing organisation; to include initiatives which foster a high performance culture, with valuing learning, continuous improvement and diversity.
  • Supporting the needs analysis, planning and implementation process across the Group to ensure successful realisation of Corporate Learning & Development strategy through agreeing on Regional Learning & Development Plans.
  • Partner with line and corporate leadership to identify and develop Talent Management strategies, identify gaps, and plan processes and programs to support business initiatives.
  • Design, lead and implement learning programmes as part of our you:niversity, the learning & development offering of PPHE Hotel Group, with Corporate and Hotel HR Strategic Plans and service concepts.
  • Maintain database of talent information, coordinate with management team, participate in succession planning and key talent review meetings, and oversee strategies to accelerate development of key talent and successor candidates.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement through, for example, undertaking internal diagnosis, process/system reviews in order to understand barriers and possible solutions; conducting external research into good practice and new ideas.

  • Mentor & develop 4 Regional Training Managers, and our Inspirators and you:niversity coaches - dotted line management.
  • Manage Learning & Development budget in line with agreed targets and plans by monitoring spend and ensuring quality, value and consistency standards are maintained.

What we are looking for:

  • Solid experience with developing highly effective, results-driven Talent Development strategies with multiple styles; designing, training and deploying programs to support Talent Development and organisational success
  • Knowledge of Talent Development theories & models, and how people learn – leading to organisational success.
  • Curriculum design and performance expertise to determine suitability of courses.
  • Strong business acumen, project management and understanding of the impact of developing people on overall corporate performance.
  • Successful experience in aligning and delivering strategic and operational needs with Talent Development programs.
  • Ability to conduct global Training Needs Analysis devising Talent and Learning & Development plans.
  • Technical expertise with e-learning / interactive learning standards.
  • Collaboration skills including the ability to integrate and act upon the diverse perspectives of PPHE Group and external vendors.
  • Accreditation as an Insights Discovery Practitioner is desirable.
