Main role and objectives:

At Park Plaza we believe the safety of our guests and team members is paramount. As Security Manager at Park Plaza Victoria you will have a key position in ensuring that the people who choose to stay at and work in our hotels are safe, secure and comfortable.

Your responsibilities:

  • To manage the security operations and provide the strategy and direction required to ensure that the security provision is delivered and meets the departmental objectives; this will include the formulating of 90 day plans and projects that have been assigned by the Regional Security Manager or General/Hotel Manager.
  • Drive and deliver operational action plans, monitor and review as needed to enhance the security provision and advice on new or existing safety legislation, approved codes of practice, guidance notes and intelligence reports.
  • Assist in the setting and achieving the Security budget
  • Ensure that all training needs are identified, processed promptly and are discussed with the Security Team. Ensure that the necessary training is undertaken at an appropriate time. Performance reviews are carried out as per Company guidelines and discussed. Ensure the Security manual is updated with operating procedures and that all officers adhere to its instructions. Ensure that the team coach is supported in the delivery of his / her responsibilities.
  • To determine, deliver, assist and coordinate the health, safety, fire and security compliance systems for the hotel and chair the health and safety committee

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience within a Security role is essential, preferably at managerial level
  • A current SIA license holder
  • Experience in monitoring CCTV and security alarm systems would be preferable
  • Someone who is passionate about exceeding guest expectations
  • Someone who is great at creating and maintaining positive and productive working relationships across the business, communicating effectively in a range of situations
