Your responsibilities:

  • Carry out the arrival (check in) and departure (check out) procedures in a friendly, efficient and guest focussed manner.
  • Follow up arrivals using the prescribed procedure, modification of registration cards, special requests, rate changes, room changes and account enquiries
  • Liaise with Housekeeping and the Front Office Team Leader in respect of out of order rooms, special requests and discrepancy reports
  • Carry out up-selling in order to enhance the guest experience and drive additional revenue for the hotel
  • Continuously seek to make an effort in increasing the knowledge of own job function and actively participate in training, learning & development activities to support own continued personal & professional development to benefit the business and improve personal skills

  • Someone who is passionate about exceeding guest expectations
  • Someone who is great at creating and maintaining positive and productive working relationships across the business, communicating effectively in a range of situations
  • Able to work in a fast paced working environment
  • Someone able to differentiate between different guest types and handle them in the appropriate manner
  • Working knowledge of OPERA or other hotel reservations system is preferred
