Main role and objectives:

To assist the F&B Supervisors & F&B Manager by enabling employees under their control to consistently achieve product and service delivery, standards and ensure a high degree of customer care.

Your responsibilities:

  • To arrive for work at the correct time, in the correct uniform and are looking smart and well presented.
  • To take full responsibility of department in absence of the F&B Supervisor and run daily shifts.
  • To perform all tasks to a consistent and correct standard which are set in conjunction with the F&B Supervisors.
  • To operate MICROS computer systems on a managerial level and produce adequate reports at the end of each shift. To handle all types of payment.
  • To promote a helpful image to clients and give full co-operation to any customer requiring assistance with a prompt, caring and helpful attitude and to anticipate customer’s needs whenever possible, to enhance quality service and in turn enhance client satisfaction.
  • To give full co-operation to any colleagues requiring assistance in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • To be flexible in assisting around the hotel in response to business needs. To cross train in other F&B outlets.
  • To maintain effective communication within the team and to attend F&B related meetings and training sessions when required.
  • To hold daily briefings and monthly staff meeting in conjunction with F&B Manager.
  • To assist F&B Supervisors & Manager to train and coach in a systematic and professional way to consistently achieve service standards and product delivery.
  • To maintain an appropriate staffing level and ensure that sufficient amount of staff are scheduled according to business levels.
  • To be fully knowledgeable of all Menus, drinks, wines and service procedures in the F&B Department and ensure the staff is trained to the standards.
  • To ensure sufficient glass ware, restaurant equipment, liquor and drink stock is available at all times.
  • To ensure all items consumed are processed through MICROS.
  • To handle with customer complaints by following the correct procedures with the help of the F&B Supervisors and Manager
  • To be fully knowledgeable of fire, health and safety and licensing regulations and apply them.
  • To be fully knowledgeable of Licensing Laws.
  • To identify and report all hazards and maintenance requirements in the work place and follow up to ensure zero defects.
  • To positively promote sales awareness within the department and maximise sales opportunities.
  • To assist in controlling all operating costs.
  • To assist with any other duties within the scope and general purpose of the job as designated by the Manager.
  • To set high standards of service & adhere to rules & regulations as per PPHE guidelines.
