Main role and objectives:

Under the general guidance of the Restaurant and Bar Manager, to supervise Food and Beverage Attendants, as well as service guests within the Restaurant/Bar/Room Service/Meeting and Events/Lounge in order to maximise guest satisfaction and food and beverage profitability. All work is carried out in line with the hotel’s guidelines, food and beverage sales and marketing plan, the restaurant, bar and meeting and events business plan, and Park Plaza Hotels corporate policies, guidelines and service concepts.

Your responsibilities:

  • Supervises Food & Beverage Attendants and assists HOD in training new employees
  • Ensures that guests receive quality service by providing work direction for Food and Beverage staff.
  • Verifies that workstations are stocked neat orderly.
  • Ensures that the dining room is ready for guest by checking overall condition of Food and Beverage outlet regularly.
  • Provides guest with quality service by monitoring staff assignments and responsiveness.
  • Performs all service of the Food and Beverage outlets.
  • Coaches staff to achieve Food and Beverage revenue goals.
  • Actively pushes high profit food and beverage items, and informs staff of such to increase sales.
  • Greets and sets guest, and make sure that they receive prompt, courteous and efficient service.
  • Seeks appropriate opportunities to communicate with guest to personalize the Food and Beverage service.
  • Keeps Food and Beverage premises glass, cutlery, plates etc. clean and in good working order.
  • Initiate aggressive guest interaction through seeking and soliciting feedback from guest.
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment for all associates and guests.
  • Assume responsibility of daily operation of daily operation of all assigned outlets.
  • Ensure readiness and compliance among all the staff.
  • During the shift, ensure that guest are satisfied by assisting with serving, seating, communication with kitchen and by striving to speak to all guests.
  • Ensures that only a quality product is being served.
  • Assist any associate in his/her job performance, when required, to ensure guest satisfaction.
