Key tasks & responsibilities:

 

The Credit Supervisor is to facilitate payment of all payments including cheques, BACS etc, due by promptly preparing invoices and processing incoming payments in accordance with hotel accounting procedures. A high level of communication is expected within the role as it is critical to be able to explain and provide information in the collecting and reporting of the companies debtors at all levels.

 

Reporting to the Financial Controller and Credit Manager, you will be responsible for transfers from guest ledger to city ledger and ensure they are accurate and done in a timely fashion.

  • Attach necessary back up e.g. copies of folios
  • Posts payments received to aging and reconciles these payments to open invoices
  • Balances accounts receivable system to the general ledger on a routine basis
  • Researches declined bank cards and other credit card charge backs for justification and validity
  • Makes all necessary adjustments or credits
  • Assists in the preparation of month end reconciliation and in the final monthly closing of the accounts receivable system
  • Ensure all correspondence, paperwork and other documents are appropriately filed on a regular basis
  • After each telephone call, ensure a trace is left on the system
  • Issue correct invoices that are checked against client contracts and make necessary adjustments and/or credits
  • Check commission invoices for accuracy before passing for payment
  • Transmits commission in Opera
  • Handle Pegasus payments and queries on the Pegasus data base
  • Any Adhoc tasks requested by the Financial Controller / Assistant F.C./ Credit Manager
